Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what information Canexxa collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have over your data.

1. Introduction

Canexxa Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("Canexxa", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Canexxa tech community platform, including our website, community feed, talent profiles, certification, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit or use the Platform.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide Directly

  • Account details: name, email address, mobile number, gender, date of birth, and password.
  • Profile information: profile photo, banner image, headline, skills, work experience, education, certifications, projects, awards, and hobbies.
  • Content you create: posts, comments, connections, follows, and messages on the community feed.
  • Communications: information you submit through our enquiry/contact forms, including your name, email, phone number, subject, and message.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited.
  • Usage data: how you interact with features such as the feed, profile, and talent search.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

c) Information From Third Parties

  • If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID (see Section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
  • To operate core Platform features: profiles, the community feed, talent discovery, certificates, and onboarding.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send account-related communications, such as verification and security alerts.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Platform, including fraud and bot prevention.
  • To improve, personalize, and develop new features on the Platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Google Sign-In & Google User Data

Canexxa offers "Sign in with Google" as a convenient login method. When you choose this option, Google shares limited profile information with us — your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier — solely to create or authenticate your Canexxa account.

Canexxa's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes, and we do not share it with any third party except as necessary to provide and secure the sign-in functionality described above.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and remember session preferences.
  • Verify you are human using Cloudflare Turnstile on login and contact forms (helps prevent spam and abuse).
  • Understand how the Platform is used so we can improve performance and features.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some parts of the Platform, such as staying logged in, may not function correctly without them.

6. How We Share Your Information

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Public profile content: Information you choose to add to your profile (e.g. name, headline, skills, projects) may be visible to other users and, where you enable it, to companies browsing talent.
  • Service providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers — including Cloudflare (security, CAPTCHA, and object storage via R2) and cloud hosting providers such as AWS — to operate the Platform. These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Canexxa, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: If Canexxa is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

7. Data Storage & Security

  • All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Authentication uses short-lived JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with automatic, secure token refresh.
  • Uploaded files (profile photos, banners, documents) are stored in access-controlled cloud object storage using time-limited, pre-signed URLs.
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the Platform.

While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We continuously review and improve our security practices.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you the Platform's services. We may retain certain information longer where required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for professionals, companies, and talent, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Canexxa is based in India, and our infrastructure providers may process and store data in other countries. Wherever your information is processed, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an equivalent level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
